"The struggle for Democracy in Burma will continue!" Freedom for all ! "The struggle for Democracy in Burma will continue!" By Mats Henriksson It seems that the increase of the fuel prices in August was in line with the SPDC’s strategy to" strike out" against the democratic opposition. The military junta must have presumed that the result of the Natio 找房子nal Convention for the new constitution might not be accepted by the international community, the NLD, and other democratic and ethnic organizations and the people of Burma. It must therefore find a reason to "strike out" against the democratic opposition, so that it could continue to rule the country. It 系統傢俱 meant the SPDC must "provoke" the democratic opposition with something, so that activists should start to demonstrate on the streets against the military regime. The SPDC authorities would have the opportunity to identify the democracy activists and their leaders, and thereafter take actions against those people, whic 禮服h the tyrannic military junta did! When the civilian demonstrators and the Buddhist monks and nuns, were marching peacefully on the streets all over the country, the evil SPDC junta saw a reason to take care of an "internal security problem ". It used massive resources: army, riot police, military intelligence, USDA ( SPDC’s Storm Troo 裝潢pers ) and hired thugs. They then committed the most brutal crackdown on the demonstrators including the respected Buddhist monks! In front of TV-cameras, SPDC’s crack-units murdered, beat and arrested a large number of monks and civilian people. According to reliable sources at least 300 men and women were killed, and about 6,000 monks, nuns and civi 膠原蛋白lian people was arrested. Some of the brave people of Burma have already been sentenced to imprisonment, just because they peacefully asked for democracy, justice, freedom and for the release of Aung San Suu Kyi and all other political prisoners. For sure SPDC’s very brutal crackdown on the protests will not stop the oppressed people of Burma, they will continue 烤肉食材to demand Human Rights and democracy ! The only question is: how will the struggle for democracy continue? A Swedish diplomat Mr Johan Hallenborg was located in Rangoon during the SPDC’s crackdown on the demonstrations. On 2 October Mr Hallenborg gave a briefing to the UN Human Rights body in Geneva. He said: "We saw heavily armed security forces and soldiers open fire on unarmed civil 九份民宿ians". "We also witnessed people being chased down through alleys, and shot by the military while fleeing!" The diplomat also said: "HE REGARDED THE MONKS AS A SYMBOL OF THE INCREDIBLY BRAVE PEOPLE OF BURMA, WHO SHOW COURAGE SEEMINGLY WITHOUT LIMITS! ". "The military government was arresting monks and civilians, under the most terrifying circumstances!". All over the world in the open and de 591mocratic nations, governments and the people watch the disgusting SPDC-regime very closely, the international response is just getting started. The international community knows very well about the conditions for the oppressed people of Burma, particularly for the people in the seven ethnic states. If political pressure and economic sanctions not are enough against the military regime in Burma, then we all have to 信用卡代償 think if we have to change our strategy against the world's most tyrannic military dictatorship regime. Inside Burma and all over the world, for sure the struggle for democracy in Burma will continue! The only question is how will the struggle for democracy in Burma continue?
